 Building an Inclusive Community

The University, through the University Plan 2005-2007, gives high priority to the principles and practice of equal opportunity in all areas of teaching, learning, research, human resource policy and management. Inclusive practice is integral to the University achieving a rank “among the top echelon of research-led universities in Australia” by 2010.

The University's Equity Plan is a dynamic document. It identifies eight key principles that underpin four broad goals. The strategies, performance measures and responsibilities are placed in the University Plan context and format. Through these the Equity Plan promotes, in a practical way, the image of an inclusive community where diversity is embraced and celebrated, rights are protected and all students and staff are able to achieve their full potential
